European Pomology and Illustration

Back of that American apple pie is a whole world of European pomology.  Fred Janson’s book, Pomona’s Harvest, does a wonderful job of surveying this vast bibliography.  To give you an idea how vast, here is a sampling of illustrations that have come to us from American pomology’s parent tree.
